ART ACQUISITION AND BROKERAGE

From 18th and 19th Century art, to modern contemporary art, pop art, and sculpture, let Haines Obtains! Ltd. find art to suit your discerning taste, or advise you on your own purchases.

We offer the following art brokerage and acquisition services:

  1. BUYING ART. We specialize in matching our client’s interior design and overall style requirements with our unique access to art of all forms. We are constantly receiving information regarding exciting new artists, in addition to more established names, and work tirelessly to nurture the emotional rapport between an artwork and its new owner.

  2. SELLING ART. Do you have a piece of art that you would like to sell? While the auction process reflects one established approach, we believe that there are other rewarding alternatives. Our personal involvement in the representation of your art to pre-qualified bona fide buyers, help us to optimize a successful placement.

  3. ART APPRAISAL. While it is considered to be a conflict of interest to simultaneously broker and appraise art, often an individual needs to know its valuation prior to sale. Until the client has a realistic expectation of what an artwork may be worth in the primary or secondary market, a reasonable offer cannot be determined. For this reason, appraisals are considered a prudent option.

  4. ART FOR INVESTMENT. Being informed is essential in the intelligent purchase of art. We are uniquely qualified to either buy on behalf of the client or to advise the client knowledgably about market trends. For an ongoing body of useful information, please visit our Smart Art® feature.
