Board Usage Policy

Using the public chat, help and discussion boards on Hainesville can be informative, helpful and entertaining. People receive support, learn about Hainesville and their collecting interests, and meet new friends on the boards. When users abide by the principles found in the Hainesville Community Values, the boards are a positive and enjoyable experience for all users. By following the rules listed below the entire community will continue to find the boards helpful, educational and an enjoyable place to meet and converse with other users. Messages posted to the Hainesville chat, help or discussion boards by Hainesville community members are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the message. Hainesville is not responsible for messages left by Hainesville users. Users will receive email notification when an Hainesville staff member has responded to their question. However, not all user questions will be answered by Hainesville staff.

Grounds for Immediate Post Removal, Board Suspension and/or Hainesville Suspension The following types of postings are cause for immediate post removal, warning, board suspension and/or suspension from the site. Other inappropriate

  • postings not listed below may also warrant removal and/or suspension from the site:
  • Posting contact or personal information about another individual without permission.
  • Posting material containing profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, or threats of violence.
  • Posting material (graphic or text) that is obscene, pornographic or adult in nature.
  • Using JavaScript, active or other coding, making repetitive posts, or other actions that interfere with site operations.
  • Advertising merchandise, auctions, services or commercial web sites.
  • Posting copyright items without the permission of the copyright owner.
  • Refusing to follow Hainesville staff instruction or direction.
  • Posting material that in any way violates the Hainesville Terms of Service or Community Values.
  • Using user ID's, auction number's or violating any other board posting policy in the title of a threaded discussion.
  • Inappropriate threads started in Community Help Boards, i.e. Hainesville policy commentary started in the Community Help Registration Board.

    Hainesville may suspend an account from the threaded boards without suspending them from the site; however, a user suspended for violating policies on the non-threaded boards will have their account suspended from the entire site due to the existing setup of the system. Hainesville may suspend any user who has been previously warned of board policy violations, though we reserve the right to suspend a user immediately depending on the violation. Suspensions may range from 24 hours to permanent.

    All warnings and suspensions are in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Hainesville Terms of Service and the Hainesville Trust and Safety guidelines When a post is removed from the Hainesville non-threaded chat boards, all the posts that have been submitted by that user will automatically be removed. Individual posts may be removed from the threaded discussion boards, although all posts by a user can be removed if warranted
